Meagan Smith

A recent graduate from the University of Southern California, Meagan is a costume designer with an interest in fashion, and a keen eye for stylistic detail. Currently a freelance designer working primarily in Los Angeles, Meagan has designed in a variety of time periods and styles, ranging from the colorful and flamboyant 17th century France, to a unique film noir comedy, to the textural and rural 1930s Appalachia. Her specific focus on color palette and texture are what tie her designs together into a very unique aesthetic. Meagan's influences are widespread, varied, and always growing, including artists and designers like Erté, Jeff Koons, Klimt, Edith Head, Rodarte, Alexander McQueen, Coleen Atwood, and Walter Plunkett. She is constantly being inspired by the incredible community of artists who are expanding our understanding of what art is, and pushing the boundaries of how it can be created. She is also incredibly inspired by her chihuahua, Shmeegle, who transcends the common perception of chihuahuas by being the sweetest, most loving creature on the planet.  She is motivated to collaborate with all of the amazing artists in the industry, and to explore creative solutions on each project she works on.
